North-Line Yachts has taken over Consonant Yachts.
New challenge for North-Line Yachts.
Consonant Yachts of Vriezenveen in the Netherlands has built more than seventy Kusters- Noaber motor yachts in the past decade but last year the company found itself in difficulties and the yard was taken over by the Kuster owners club. Recently Kuster owners club, led by Herman van der Most, started looking for a new party to continue the construction and maintenance of the Kuster and Noaber vessels.
Sipko van Sluis, director of North-Line Yachts, is pleased with the acquisition. "Consonant Yachts has an excellent position in the upper end of the market and also has an established name in the steel yacht building industry; it is therefore a very good addition to the existing activities of North-Line Yachts. We now operate in the upper segment of exclusive, fast, seaworthy grp motor yacht construction and with the acquisition of Consonant Yachts we are able to offer a wider range. Now that we can also offer slower seaworthy displacement vessels in steel anyone who is looking for a high quality seaworthy yacht in GRP or steel, can contact us”
Consonant Yachts will be incorporated into the existing organization of North-Line Yachts in Harlingen, all Kuster- and Noaber models of 31ft to 47 ft will be put ‘back on the drawing board’ and in consultation with a number of owners appropriate improvements and modifications will be made. Of course, the high quality of materials, seaworthiness and the unique look of all the models remain intact. Besides the construction of new Kunster yachts, current owners can also be provided with winter storage, moorings and maintenance at the yard in Harlingen. The yard can also offer modifications to existing interiors, major refits and changes and modifications to machinery and electrical systems.
